Lamorinda ShortDocs Film Fest

Tickets now on sale for the second annual Lamorinda ShortDocs Film Fest!  $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

Live Screening Event and Reception May 7th at 3:00 pm; Lafayette Library Community Hall

Lamorinda ShortDocs is a short documentary film competition open to filmmakers of all ages within the Lamorinda Community (comprised of the towns of Orinda, Lafayette, and Moraga, CA).  Eligible filmmakers include anyone who lives or works in Lamorinda, attends school in a Lamorinda school or school district, or is a family member of a Lamorinda Arts Council Volunteer.  Proof of local affiliation may be required from Finalists.  (At its discretion, the Festival Committee may consider accepting applicants from outside the Lamorinda area.)

Films must be 6 minutes or less and will be judged in 4 categories by age: Elementary School, Middle School, High School, and Adult.  Finalists in each category will be selected and those films will be screened publicly at the festival on May 7th at 3:00 pm.  One winner in each age group will be selected and announced at the festival, where an audience student film favorite will also be awarded.  Finalists will be expected to attend the live screening event the Lafayette Library Community Hall.  (All content must be G rated.)

Registration for the festival has officially passed.  If you would like to be on our Filmmaker mailing list for next year, you may still fill out the registration for now.

Submissions via Film Freeway are now closed.  Finalist Filmmakers will be notified by April 30th.
